the cutest kids’ clothes are about to hit nashville! | brentwood commercial photography

I had the pleasure of working with two of the sweetest gals in the world this week–they are super creative and talented, and make the coolest shirts for kids. And! We all 3 have 3 kids… most of which are on the younger side of 6! Can you imagine the volume level at this shoot? It was divine!

I’ll share more about their company soon, but I wanted to show you just a small sample of what they do before I get to work on the rest!

planting : : one of my favorite parts of spring | cookeville editorial photography

We have done a lot of planting this past week in our yard–we’ve gotten vegetables, flowers, and a few different little trees in the ground. And I’m going to try as hard as I can to keep them alive! It’s no secret that I don’t have the greenest thumb around… but I am learning, and experimenting, and practicing!

I’m sure you’ve heard of the devastating floods in Nashville… It is so strange seeing so many familiar landmarks standing in water. And remember a few weeks ago, the shoot at the Opryland Hotel? It now has 10 feet of water in some places… dining room tables and cartons of wine glasses floating around. It’s absolutely unimaginable to me.

See how you can donate or volunteer here. HandsOn Nashville.

light | the one-word project | commercial and stock photography

I participate in a weekly challenge on flickr with some incredibly gifted photographers and this was last week’s entry.

Haven’t heard of flickr? Go check it out–it’s a wonderful resource for inspiration, technical stuff, and exposure to all different types of photography.

I had the pleasure of spending Saturday morning with sweet Miller and his mom and grandma–and he was totally, seriously, perfectly adorable. Don’t believe me?

Here’s the first newborn in the “baby in a basket” series I am doing for an upcoming display… He was so peaceful and patient–and so was his mama!
