beautiful baby grayson | eight days old

This is the sweetest baby girl of the sweetest little family in the world. Their household is a familiar one to me–baby paraphernalia + goldfish crackers + freshly scrubbed heads and diapers… the (joking-but-kind-of-serious) reminiscing about the good ol’ days of sitting down with a book in a coffee shop… But also the joy, the exuberance of two little ones running around, and the exhausted-but-loving-it attitude that you just kind of adopt as you grope your way through the first few weeks of brand-new baby.

And no kidding–Grayson’s mom is an expert at spinning plates–she is not only talented at mommy-ing, but she is very creative and a gifted entrepreneur! See for yourself : My Little Legacies on etsy.

It was such a pleasure getting a little peek inside the life of this brand-new family of 5!

my delicious, gorgeous albums

I just received another sample album in the mail yesterday and wanted to share it with you! I mean it when I say you’ve got to see and touch these albums to really get the full effect… they are just exquisite. A thick, substantial cover protects the chunky, lay-flat pages, and the whole book just feels so perfect in your hands–every time I get one of these albums, I have to have a look through it… and then just one more look… and then, okay, one more look for good measure. They are that unbelievable!

a new division of my work : sd | beginnings.

this idea has been stirring in my mind and heart for some time now, and the past few newborns I’ve photographed just really sealed the deal for me–to see why, just scroll down and take a look!

don’t worry–I’m still going to continue photographing families and older kids, as well as my editorial and commercial work, but this new venture allows me to focus on where my passion and creative fire lies–with those sweet freshly-hatched beings in our lives!
