… a fall bride!

So… here we are, a mere three months after these photos were taken… that’s not so bad, right? Well, I just can’t believe I forgot to show you these. I’ll blame it on postpartum fog. This is my beautiful, spunky, and hilarious sister Natalie. She got married in November (her wedding date was four days after my due date! I know every pregnant woman secretly hopes she will have her baby a little early, but I was reeeeally hoping. Really really really. Thank goodness I got my wish.) Anyway, she is graduating from law school this May and is going to make a fantastic lawyer. We had so much fun shooting these photos even if it was soggy and wet outside–and I was 8 months pregnant. We shot at the DelMonaco Winery (where the reception was held) and even though it was less-than-optimal shooting conditions, we did it anyway!

It just goes to show… you can work with any lighting condition if you have to… just get creative!

I had the pleasure of photographing my sweet friend Stephanie a few weeks ago–we did a short and sweet session in the gorgeous afternoon light, and she totally rocked it! Isn’t she a stunning bride? As usual when I photograph my friends, we did as much laughing and cutting up as we did shooting, but we managed to be professional long enough to get some absolutely beautiful images. Congratulations, Steph!

I can finally show you…

…some of the brides I’ve had the immense pleasure of photographing over the last month! I have been pretty quiet lately; I am enjoying some pre-baby lull as I cut down on my workload and prepare for our latest arrival!

I loved shooting these elegant portraits of my gorgeous cousin–she and her now-husband were married a few weekends ago in a gorgeous private ceremony on Dale Hollow Lake.

I also have a few more special brides to show you, my custom home feature in the October issue of At Home Tennessee, and the latest issue of Justine Magazine–all shot right on the cusp of my maternity leave. But those will have to wait for another post, for another day!

Hope everyone is enjoying the transition into fall–it’s my favorite time of year!

beautiful dale hollow bride

I had the pleasure of photographing my new cousin-in-law (is that a real term?) a few months ago and am so excited to finally be able to post these. She and my cousin Luke were married on Saturday and it was such a pretty wedding–they are such a beautiful couple, inside and out–can’t wait to photograph their babies! hint hint!

Lots of great stuff coming up–I photographed the celebrity home feature in the June issue of At Home Tennessee, and can’t wait to share that with you when it hits newsstands. I’m also slated to shoot for a very sweet fashion and beauty magazine that is sold coast-to-coast, and will be finishing that up in the next few weeks. I will also be telling you more about the baby registry at Spruce–if you register for your new arrival there, you will get a gift from me! But more on that to come.

I will also be posting soon about an article I wrote that will be appearing in a very cool up-and-coming photography website geared toward parents wanting to learn more about custom children’s photography.

All to come in the weeks ahead!
